Baboe, a pieces from the past...

Baboe is a term comes from dutch to determine housework that done by servant.
In the colonial era, baboe has an important role to many Dutchman that stay in Indonesia.

Paula Gomes, in her book "Sudah, laat maar" write a heart-touching story about the relationship between a girl and her "baboe". When she looking at a book full with beautiful picture at her bed, she ask the baboe to sit next to her and accompany her to see those beautiful picture. But, baboe shook her head and stayed  on the floor and then said "Baboe tempatnya dibawah, di lantai" (trans : Baboe place is here, on the floor)

At that moment, the girl ask herself  "why?"

The -dere type

Hi, it's been a while since i write the last post in this blog

I have a mid-term exam this week, so i'm kinda busy to catch up with everything... XD

Oke, so let's get to the point.. :)

The first time i join in an anime/otaku forum i read so many terms used there, start from tsundere, yandere, dandere, and many many more, and it feels like "what the fuck is this?"

Many terms invented by the fans to represent a character's personality, usually female character.

At first i think it's something useless, but at some point i think it's fun to talk about it... :)

1. Tsundere

Tsundere is an abbreviation from the terms tsun-tsun (grumpy, hot-blooded) and dere-dere (lovely, lovestruck). Let's say that tsundere is a type of person that suffer "love in denial", usually this character will try very hard to "cover" her true feelings, therefore she acts like she hates you, but in fact she's not.

She wants your attention, but she always try to avoid you. She likes you, but she hates you.

"Playing" with tsundere is like hide and seek, but once you get her, she will shows her dere-dere. :)

2. Yandere

Yandere is an abbreviation of yanderu (mental disorder) and dere-dere. In easy way, we called it psycho or over-obsessed with someone. This character looks so lovely in the first, but after that she will shows her true nature, violent and brutal.

This character doesn't hesitate to harm another people that try to approach someone that she loves, and even she could harm people that she loves if she feels betrayed, and torture herself if the person she loves feels disappointed by herself.

The good point of this character is she is very loyal to the person she loves.

3. Dandere

Is an abbreviation of danmari (silence, quiet) and dere-dere.

Yeah you got it, it's a quiet type character, looks like robot-character, doesn't talk too much, and have flat expressions. Actually dandere is a condition where a taciturn meets someone she likes, and react out of the expectations like blushing or suddenly become inconsequent.

4. Kuudere

It's pretty hard too differentiate kuudere from tsundere or dandere. Kuudere comes from the words cool.

In engrish (japanese english) it sound kuu. If dandere have no expressions, kuudere sometimes show her expressions. Kuudere talk a little and can maintain their image. They have cold sharp gaze.

While tsundere looks like a childish character that deny and/or cannot recognize their true feelings, kuudere understand their feeling for sure, they have more mature image. Kuudere type doesn't deny her feelings, they do have emotions, i think they just cool... XD

Hot Event 2012 and 67 years old cosplayer

So at 4th November i was attending a cosplay and toys event at JCC, Kemayoran, Jakarta, Indonesia...

It's a small-scale event held by a cosplay and harajuku community.

But, i have to admit that this event is better than AFAID that cost you Rp.125.000 (if you wanna see the AFA concert you have to pay more, about Rp.350.000)

The ticket's price is Rp. 20.000 and you can exchange the ticket with a bottled tea or a pin, if you lucky you could get a t-shirt. i'm not that lucky, so i just get a pin.. >.<

At the entrance there is a yellow anime car, honestly i don't know the chara. but it looks pretty cool... :)

Hot event already held twice, and they always held a horror-cosplay competition...

What surprise me is the "cosplayer of the year" is a 67 years old man that cosplaying as kamasenin from dragon ball. I think he is the oldest cosplayer in Indonesia, i know there is some older cosplayer outside, but i think this is just amazing... XD

They put a crown and a robe for him, it makes he looks like a king. yeah, everyone cheering for him yesterday.. :)

He gave a motivating speech yesterday, it makes me wanna debut my cosplay as soon as possible. hahaaa^^ 

It is his first year as a cosplayer, so there is never too late or to old to start cosplay... \(^_^)/

Oh ya, there is a cosplay-cafe. a vocaloid-maid cafe, it's pretty cheap and affordable. You get a rice-curry, tea, and one photoshot for Rp. 50.000

It's the first time they have a cosplay cafe, so there is still some "minus". but, i think it's worth it.

How to revive your folder that turn into a shortcut

Yesterday i connecting my blackberry into my friend's computer...
and after that all my folders turn into a shortcut, yeah, blame those viruses.... XD

okay, now i tell you how to repair this shit... :)
i found this trick from http://www.pustakatrik.com

1. scan your SD card, pen drive or your disk drive with anti-virus. ( i found ESET NOD32 antivirus didn't work to scan this kind of virus, therefore i use SMADAV )
2. delete all the fuckin shortcut
3. open command prompt ( start ---> run ---> cmd )
4. type the disk drive location, for example--> F:
5. type "dir" without quotation, this command will shows the contain of your drive
6. if the folder you are looking for haven't listed yes, type "dir/a" and enter
7. then type the command : "attrib -s -h -r /s /d"
8. wait for a moment
9. and boom! it's fixed... :)

PTRD-41 Anti-Tank Rifle

A couple weeks ago, i just finished watching Darker Than Black season 1 and 2. It is a great anime, although it doesn't popular in my country, Indonesia. I really enjoy the story line, despite of many ambiguous scene there, but it makes me more curious and fall deeper for each of the chara... XD

One of their character (suou pavlichenko) have a special skill to "summon" a PTRD-41, an anti tank rifle made by Russia in world war II. This is a PTRD-41 picture :

I'm thinking about making this rifle for my cosplay property, but i'm not sure whether i cosplay as Suou (which means i have to do cross dress) or i only make the rifle and combine it with another costume.

But for sure, i wanna make this rifle as soon as possible. It is really interesting since it's gonna be my first cosplay.... ^_^

How to protect your computer's folder without application

So, today i wanna share how to make a password in your computer folder.
If you share your computer with others, and you have some "top secret" stuff in it, this post will help you.. :)

1. Make a new folder
2. Create .txt file in that folder and copy this code

3. Look at the 23rd line, or search (ctrl+f) for : password here
4. Replace it with your password. Example :
    if NOT %pass%== baracuda goto FAIL
5. Then save as the file with name "locker.bat"
6. Double click locker.bat and then it will create a new folder "Private"
7. Move your "top secret" file to that folder
8. Then double click on locker.bat and a dialogue box will appear, "do you want to lock your folder? Y/N"
9. Answer it with Y, and puufffff, your private folder gone...
10. if you want to open it again, just double click locker.bat and enter your password :)

this method work on pen-drive too :D no software required

Jak-Japan "Chaos" Matsuri

Couple days ago i went to Jakarta-Japan Matsuri at Sari Pan Pacific Hotel.
Actually i just wanna lying on my bed at that day, but my sister ask me to accompany her. She wants to see JKT48. So, i have no option... :)

Touchdownnnnn.... XD

I really confused and stunned when i enter the event area. There is many JKT48 fans, and the Ballroom isn't big enough to accommodate all the visitor. And when JKT48 came out, those fanboy screaming loudly, just like a bunch of wolves that haven't eat for 3 days, suddenly they saw a rabbit in front of their nose... -_-
and boom......
chaos happen....
The mix and the wotagei feels like a war cry...
Well, i do chant and some member call. But, doing wotagei &screaming in a top class hotel is something that anyone can't tolerate...

AFA (Anime Festival Asia) Indonesia 2012

Oke, so this is the first time AFA was held in my country.

I go there on sunday, 2nd september with 2 of my friends.

When i want to buy a ticket, there is many unofficial person offer me a ticket with the same price, but i just walk through them to the official ticket booth. I'm afraid that it is a fake ticket, i think the security around there should drive them away. 

My first impressions here is, this event is over-crowded. it's hard to walk freely, i think they need a bigger place for the next AFA. And i think the booth numbers is kinda few, the only booth that attract my eyes is the Moe Moe Kyun ♥ Maid Cafe ( well, actually i wanna buy some figma and gundam models, but my wallet didn't allowed me T__T )

I have to take a line for 1 hour, some customer even have to queue for 2 hours. And when i get in, they run out of food. So, i only ordered a bottle of iced tea.. T__T

But, overall the maid is very gorgeous and kawaii, love them so much.

We do some "power up dance" before eat drink. it's so lovely.

Oh ya, this is my first time i go to maid cafe. it's a great experience, you should try at the next AFA.

After eat drink, we have some photo session with the maid, i take a pic with momo-chan. She is a new maid that come from Indonesia. Well, the picture isn't really good, because i got a stomachache so my facial expression is kinda weird. Hahahaaa :p

Oh ya, you have to pay Rp.50.000 for one photo shoot, it's kinda expensive. But heyy, they are cute so money isn't matter... :p They use instax to shoot you, you didn't allowed to take picture with your own camera. 

ps : Actually the boy and the girl in the picture is prettier than the photo shown... :p

Oke, after a great dining drinking experience in MMK cafe, i go to screening of Eureka 7 : AO, and there is an appearance by Stereophony. After it, i also watch the Cosplay competiton, the cosplayer is really amazing. The details and the endurance of the costume is really adorable. Actually my favorite is the Digimon cosplay (Kabuterimon and Andromon) but they didn't win. Well, i think it's because i'm a huge fans of digimon :p

and the last event is the anisong concert, i miss the Sea A part.. T____T

so i watch the remaining three ( Angela, Stereophony and Kotoko )

They stage is awesome, it's a almost world class stage.

The lightning is extremely great during the cosplay and the concert, full credit to the light man.

Eum, but when Stereophony appear, the volume is too big. Some people around me cover they ears.

But, they still jump and chanting. It's a great show. Each singer/band perform for 1 hour, it starts from 6pm until 10pm. My fave performer is Angela, they have a great powerful music, and the fans service is really nice
